The Island of Vis is a small but beautiful place. It's about 15 km long by 6-8 km wide. It's rugged, and beautiful, and troubled. The largest town on the Island of Vis is Vis (Town). So that's a little confusing. It has a small harbor where yachties tie up in the summer. There is an annual regatta based from here. And there is regular ferry service between here, Split and the Island of Hvar. These photos were taken in December 2007 mostly with a Nikon D200.

The other town on the Island of Vis is Komiza. It's smaller than Vis Town, on the other end of the Island about 12 km away, and with a sunnier south western exposure.
