In December 2007, I made a quick business trip to Croatia. I landed in Split and spent a couple of days there. I also spent a day in Zagreb (entirely in meetings, so no pictures) and a few days on the Island of Vis.

Arriving in Split makes a good first impression on me. It has a modern airport well connected to major European cities. The airport bus into the city is fast, convenient and cheap. It drops you off just steps from the harbor, the ferries and the charming old city center. My hotel is a quaint B&B which is clean, modern, warm and inviting on this pleasant winter day.
