we continued our circumnavigation of the Snaefellsnes peninsula passing through the town of Olafsvik. It's a quaint fishing village on the northern coast of the peninsula. Obviously the weather remained gorgeous.

These photos were taken in August 2007 mostly with a Nikon D200.

DigitalQuixote > Olafsvik: All over Iceland, there are little churches like the one above, big enough to hold 25-50 folks, set in the middle of nowhere. I presume they serve a dispersed congregation. But whatever they lack in size, they certainly make up for it by being charming.
DigitalQuixote > Olafsvik: As we often do when we travel, we grabbed bread, cheese, cold cuts and an apple or an orange and simply make lunch wherever we happen to be when we're hungry. Today, we parked next to the harbor, enjoyed the sunshine and the harbor activity. Lunch over, we moved on. It was a pleasant break from the driving.
