Fiesole is a small hill town about 30 minutes from Florence by city bus. It is a popular weekend destination for hiking and walking. There are a number of nice restaurants for a weekend family outing. And there are a couple of very nice churches. Before Roman times, the Etruscans built a small town on the site and there are still Etruscan and Roman ruins there you can visit. I like this place.
